Cuando mis padres se iban de viaje, yo iba a tomar mate con él, hacía las tareas del colegio en la casa, Agustín venía a casa y hasta se sumaba en las Navidades a comer. Era como nuestro abuelo. Mirá la conexión: hice esa relación del que se va del pueblo… Me la pasé llorando en la película. Como que me decía ‘Yo no sé si la película es buena o no, pero lloré porque me identifiqué mucho’. Y lamentaba que él no me haya llegado a ver en mis mejores momentos. Sí pudo verme a nivel nacional cuando todavía estaba en juniors. Falleció en el 86, cuando hice esa gira por Europa en la que me fue bien y me convocaron a la Davis. “Vos, cuando estés nervioso en la cancha, tomate una bayaspirina”, me decía. Ese era su gran consejo. En esa época llamábamos por teléfono cada tres semanas. Llamé y pregunté “¿Cómo está Agustín?” Y me respondían “Bien, bien, no te preocupes”. Fue como que algo presentía, pero me propuse no hacerme la película. Cuando llegué al aeropuerto habían ido mis padres. Mi mamá lloraba a mares. La noticia era esa, del fallecimiento de Agustín. Fue muy linda la relación y la película reúne mucho de mi historia”.Javier Frana es rafaelino y hoy anda por los 57 años. Nació en la Navidad del 66 y pudo ser profesor de educación física o ingeniero agrónomo, pero eligió el tenis, hacerlo profesionalmente. No le fue mal: llegó a 30 del mundo, con hi 88 tres títulos, alcanzó la final de dobles de Wimbledon (1991, con el mexicano Leonardo Lavalle), ganó el dobles mixto de Roland Garros (1996) con Patricia Tarabini y, por sobre todas las cosas, conquistó la medalla de bronce en los Juegos Olímpicos de Barce……
